The Alumni Admissions Organization (AAO) exists to support the Office of Admissions in outreach and recruitment. As a member of AAO you will be able to stay involved and connected to the Kellogg Community. Through alumni interviews and representation at Kellogg Admissions events world wide, you will have an opportunity to help shape each entering class. Through sharing your first-hand experiences with prospective students you help them gain a better understanding of what makes Kellogg unique and how we differentiate ourselves from other MBA programs. Some ways to get involved are:
- Conduct evaluative interviews of candidates.
- Attend recruiting events.
- Host a Kellogg event at your company.
- Accept phone calls from candidates that inquire about the Kellogg experience.
- Participate in events with accepted students.
Importance of the Alumni Interview
Alumni interviewers play an invaluable role in ensuring that Kellogg continues to admit the quality students that you enjoyed working with during your time here. In 2004-2005, the Alumni Admissions Organization (AAO) interviewers conducted 3,000 interviews -- 70% of all Admissions interviews.
The interview helps to assess an applicant's general management knowledge, level of maturity, interpersonal skills, career direction, and work experience -- qualities that the Committee considers essential to a successful career at Kellogg. More than 1,500 alumni throughout the world conduct evaluative interviews, affording Kellogg's Admissions Office greater geographic coverage and simplifying the interview process for all applicants.
We need your help!
The demand for alumni interviews continues to rise, especially outside of the United States, and we want to avoid overextending our current alumni interviewers. Please help spread the word to other alumni who have graduated within the last five years but who are not already interviewers for Kellogg.
If you'd like to join AAO, please click the button below. If you have questions on how to enroll or on the Alumni Admissions Organization please email us at ksm-aao@kellogg.northwestern.edu .

For the most part, AAO members are relatively recent graduates of Kellogg. The Admissions Committee feels recent graduates are able to speak directly to the current culture and happenings at Kellogg and this is the information most candidates are looking to gain. The exception to this practice occurs in locations where demand for interviews is higher or where there are fewer alumni.
