The Kellogg Alumni Mentorship Program is a unique way for you to share your time, experiences, and insights with a current Kellogg student. With the emphasis on relationship and knowledge development, not on job prospecting, students seek advice on how to approach their Kellogg career, insights on post-Kellogg career planning, and the chance to learn from someone with valuable experiences beyond their own. In 2006-2007, the program's third year, we established over 400 meaningful mentor/student relationships.
The Role of an Alumni Mentor
We expect that at a minimum mentors & students would speak or meet once a quarter; additional interaction will be at their own discretion. While we encourage the first meeting to be in person, we understand that in some situations, geographic constraints will make this impractical.
Match Process
Similar to last year, students and alumni mentors are matched based on a process that allows students to rank preferences including industry, functional role and geography. To ensure the most appropriate matches are made, it is very important that your alumni profile be as up-to-date as possible. Please ensure that your profile is correct and complete by performing a Profile Update.
Program Timeline
This round starts at the beginning of January. If you are matched with a student, you will be notified of the match by the end of February. Please remember that depending on alumni supply and student demand, it is possible that you may not serve as a mentor this year. If this does occur, we hope that you will be matched with a student in the future. For the most up to date information, visit this website.
