Looking to build upon recent successes and the heightened activity of the Kellogg Real Estate Program, several local Chicago Alumni have forged a relationship with department heads Therese McGuire and Denise Akason to form the Kellogg Real Estate Alumni Club. The Club will represent Alumni in the Chicago area initially, and nationwide as interest builds.

For some time now, the need for alumni coordination and networking activities has been highlighted by Alumni, Advisory Board members, and faculty alike. The initial goals of the Club include expanding networking opportunities among Alumni, enhancing the Real Estate Program (existing students), and promoting the Kellogg brand in the real estate community at large. Programs under consideration include continuing education and breakfast speaker series, networking events, and job alerts and postings to name a few. 2009 efforts are being focused on establishing quarterly social and networking events, improving communications about Alumni opportunities, and promoting the 2010 Kellogg Real Estate Conference to boost Alumni attendance. Alumni can become active in mentoring students or lend their time and efforts by presenting to club members or helping plan the Conference. The resources are vast and the Club hopes to harness those resources to enhance the value of our Kellogg affiliation.

Currently, the Kellogg Real Estate Alumni Club is in the process of process of expanding their database of Alumni in Real Estate. To that end, we encourage Alumni to update their forwarding information with Kellogg and subscribe to the online newsletter .
