KR Alumni Club wins 3 major Kellogg Awards in 3 Years!
In 2004, Kellogg announced it would give Awards to the top Kellogg Alumni Clubs around the world. It was therefore with great excitement and pride that the KR Alumni Club won Kellogg's International Kellogg Alumni Club of the Year Award, which was presented at a special ceremony at Kellogg in October 2004. When the 2005 Awards were announced, it was with great surprise and excitement to learn that the KR Alumni Club would receive the Kellogg Outstanding Achievement in Club Leadership Award, an Award that is presented only every 5 years. Words can't describe our joy and pride, on learning the KR Alumni Club had won the 2006 International Kellogg Alumni Club of the Year, award.
It's worth stopping for a moment, to ask 'Why are the Awards so important for KR?'. It's a fair question! What do the Awards represent? The short answer is that Kellogg awarded just 3 annual Awards in each of 2004, 2005, and 2006. Only one Kellogg Club, of 100 worldwide, has won 3 Awards in 3 years, and that Club is the Kellogg-Recanati Alumni Club! The Kellogg Alumni Club of Chicago, with 18,000 members, and about 40 times the size of KR, is the only other Club, worldwide, to have won 2 Awards, ie one in 2004 and one in 2005. Add to it that the KR Program is a 'sister' program to Kellogg, and the answer to the question must be 'Yes, the Awards are very definitely important'. Clearly, they position the KR program, the KR Alumni Club and the region in a positive light, and on a global basis.

2005 - KR Alumni Club receives the 'Outstanding Achievement in Club Leadership Award'
Kellogg has announced that the KR Alumni Club has won the 'Outstanding Achievement in Club Leadership Award', an award that will only be presented once every 5 years. Kellogg stated that our Alumni Club was selected to receive this prestigious award because not only did we impact our local Kellogg communities, but, as a result of our local/global strategy, we've also made a global impact on the Kellogg family at large. The award was presented on 20th October 2005 at a special presentation during the annual dinner of the Kellogg Alumni Advisory Board, at Kellogg. Once again we had a good reason to celebrate at the annual Dean's Dinner, on 2nd November 2005, in the presence of Dean Dipak Jain and Dean Emeritus Don Jacobs !
This Award has only been possible by the year-on-year increase in the number of active KR Alumni Club Board members, including several Board members taking on total responsibility to plan and deliver excellent alumni projects, important to them. As the President of the KR Alumni Club, I applaud and thank the team we’ve built. Together we have enabled the KR Alumni Club, the KR program and our region, to once again be globally recognized in such a positive light.
